Your Vote. Your Money. Your Movie.
A lot of shows and contests include voting these days, but what happens after your vote is counted? Usually, the winner collects a prize and you go about your business. But what if you had a role beyond merely voting? Well, at IndieShares, we do things differently.
We’re constantly hard at work filtering hundreds of scripts to present the best ones to you. All you have to do is read summaries or view short video pitches and then vote for your favorite one.
Things get really interesting once the winner is determined. IndieShares will obtain financing and produce the film. As the film is produced, you'll be able to chat with the director and actors, download clips and vote on the direction of key scenes and really have an impact on the outcome.
Why do we do it this way? Because the independent film revolution is about connecting audiences with movies by more than just buying a ticket. It’s about making you a part of the experience.
We're anxious to hear what you think about IndieShares. After all, it's really about you.

I love this idea! I really enjoy movies (blockbusters and independent films) and would like to participate in the "mysterious" process of how a movie gets funded, made and released. I can't wait to see what movie wins! Thanks for the great idea!!!

I love that as a typical movie lover I have the chance to be involved in the movie making process in some small way. What fun! I hope the film I selected wins!

This is a dynamite concept and represents the crest of the wave of the interactive movement. It's long tail-ish; it's microfinance-ish; it's artistic venture capital, digital, global, and it's a "choose your own adventure" tale all in one and more. It is a boon to the film makers and an honor for the contributors who would not have the opportunity to collaborate otherwise. Consummately creative and bleeding-edge approach toward what is likely the most creative genre of art in history: film.

What a great idea.
This levels the playing field and gives talented people a chance to get their work recognized.
It's like an American Idol for screenwriters
